Imposter Syndrome & Copyright: Changing the Narrative

Those working in libraries, museums, and archives who help their institutions navigate copyright issues often report experiencing imposter syndrome, doubting their knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide quality information about the law. In this session, we'll take a closer look at the definition of imposter syndrome, turning it on its head and, through a panel discussion, identify best practices, professional ethics, and skills we can use to make sure we are providing copyright services in a thoughtful and efficient manner.

Please join OCEAN board members Carla Myers, Margaret C. McKee, and Kyle K. Courtney, together with William Cross, Director, Open Knowledge Center & Head of Information Policy, NC State University, to discuss this important issue.
